Women’s Basketball Surges in NIL Compensation
27.3% - The share of NIL money that women's college basketball players have received in the first six months of NIL deals.
65 Days - The time until Selection Sunday. This is the first time both the men's and women's tournament will share the March Madness moniker.
$2,805 - The Average compensation for a branded TikTok post for Women's Basketball (highest among any sport).
Our Takeaway:
That enormous TikTok number is partly thanks to Oregon's Sedona Prince (2.9 Million followers). Prince easily eclipses 1 million views on most videos, and with branded content paying out approximately $.01-$.02 per view she could easily charge in the range of $20,000 for just a 15 second video.
Overall though, women's basketball players have put in enormous work in the NIL space to dispel many early stereotypes in the space that men's football and basketball players would be the only players to cash in. This will only ramp up when the millions of eyeballs come in for March Madness.

Williams is a former 5-star quarterback who amassed 26 TDs and just 4 Interceptions in 11 games for the Sooners as a True Freshman and earned Pro Football Focus All-True Freshman First Team Honors.
Who is Charlie Batch?
Batch played 12 years in the NFL for Detroit and Pittsburg after finishing his college career at Eastern Michigan in 1997.

Absolutely Not.
Our Takeaway:
Skirting the rules around NIL will continue to happen. It's why BYU is currently being investigated for NIL violations. It's how a Lawyer offered 15k on Twitter to try and help out Virginia's Defense. There are even message board rumors that Texas A&M boosters have offered up to $25-30 Million to help sign a top-ranked recruiting class.
